System Overview
Tamsy is a web application that is used by the Nigeria Communications Commission to aid the Type Approval Application Process. The Application covers the applicant application process as well as the Organizational stages of type approval using a flexible way of saving, retrieving, presenting and disseminating data among various parties during the type approval process.
This user manual consists of several sections, some of which are derived from the application modules.
The Introduction section explains in general terms the system and the purpose for which it is intended.
The System Overview section provides a general overview of the system while the section on “Accessing the application” provides information on how the application can be accessed by the end users. The session also describes creating of user accounts, logging in and retrieving lost password.
The Application Interface section explains the user interface of the application, similar explanation can be found in most sections of this user manual.
The user manual goes further to give comprehensive information on the various modules listed in section 1.2.
Tamsy is a web application. It runs on modern browsers installed on desktop computers, laptops and mobile devices. The application requires internet connection to in order to save data to database. Information saved in the database can be accessed via a web browser. Hence the application has been tested on the following web browsers:

- Chrome
- UC Browser
- Safari
Every registered user can use the application. The application uses the mechanism of roles and permissions to build up various access levels within the application. In addition, user groups are used to segment and organize all responsibilities within a workflow.
